Awareness Prayer

Am I moved by the spirit of the lie ?
Am I moved by the spirit of fallen flesh ?
Am I moved by the spirit of humanism?
or  Am I moved by the Spirit of Jesus Christ ?

Jesus knows. He has been with us all day.
      His attitudes are quite clear.

Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness
for they will be filled.
Blessed are the mercyful for they will be shown mercy
Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness.
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
                                                                                  Matthew 5:3-10

When,  in prayer,  we reflect on the events of the day,
there are things we give thanks for,
and we can also see, where we need more grace.
In prayer we can even review which spirit has motivated us,
     which spirit we have confronted
and which Spirit we choose to rely on.

In the world, things which are wholesome are being challenged by evil.
A personal , ongoing, prayerful relationship with our risen Lord, and a
full trust in Him and His will and purposes, can bring discernment and
understanding to practicing Christian believers today and at any time.
